Anorexia Nervosa
The term anorexia nervosa literally means no appetite but the victims, in fact, do not lose their appetite at all. Victims of anorexia nervosa are usually easy to spot, here are some things you should look for if you think someone you know has anorexia: The person looks emaciated and overly thin, the skin is yellowing and hair is coming out, hair may grow excessively on the body to try and keep it warm, person wears baggy clothes to try and cover it up, person thinks they're fat when their severely underweight, may have eating rituals like cutting and weighing food, obsessed with calories, in denial and doesn't think they have an eating disorder, thinks about food all the time, and makes excuses at meals for not eating (Not relevant if food is terrible). Most people with anorexia are female but the number of males with anorexia is rising quickly. People develop anorexia because they have low self-esteem and have little control over their life, their usually smart outgoing people and you wouldn't expect them to have anorexia. To victims anorexia is a way to control their life, if they control their food they control their life (Sorry to burst your bubble but it doesn't work that way), they always think their fat, even when their arms look like the spindly branches of a foreboding tree outside an evil guys house in a movie that arches over a gate like an entrance to oblivian. Anorexia affects the body in a number of ways (None of them are positive, just in case you got hopeful), there you have my information about anorexia so now you can do something useful with this information like forget about when you get home and watch that crime show with that guy named Horatio that makes a pun before the theme song and puts on his sunglasses and looks epic, yup, that sounds good.
